About Arthur Lodge

Welcome to Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery. We are a family owned and managed, independent local veterinary practices in the Horsham. The earliest records for Arthur Lodge show that the Practice was started in the late 1850's by John Callow MRCVS and was based in the Carfax. In those days the main animal that was treated was the horse although there is some evidence that other special and expensive animals such as prize bulls and rams would also have received treatment.

By 1900 the Practice had moved to North Street and was owned by Robert Pinching.

Over the years the Practice continued to develop moving to Queen Street in the 1930's and then to he current site in 1963 with a number of owners including Sam Smith, Harold Laker, Ralph Brookes, John Wildgoose, Bryan Green and Julian Peters.

Since the early days the veterinary practice has changed considerably and we now treat all species of animals including cats, dogs and other pets and exotics such as reptiles and birds.
